Does anybody have recommendations for which of the locks at the top of the thread can deal with being left outdoors in the weather 24/7?
I have the Asakiltt Shackle Lock and have been leaving it locked to the cycle stand outside my work because it's both heavy and impossible to attach to my frame with the bracket provided.
It's only about a month old but today it took me around twenty minutes to get the key in properly and unlock. I've really lost confidence in it - the feeling that your bike might be attached in that one place forever is not a nice one. I'm fairly sure it hadn't been tampered with but of course I can't be certain.
Reading through the thread the GRP Superdeals U-Lock seems to also have problems with the weather.
I'm happy to pay more but before shelling out it would be good to hear if anyone has experience of exposing their lock to the weather.
