  • I have picked up a really annoying habit of counting when I am cycling.

It started off when I was really struggling on my single speed. I would count something like 20 pedal repititions before I would let myself freewheel, and then try to increase this. When I had a particularly difficult stretch of road I used to tell myself '50 repititions and you'll be over that hill, crossing, almost home' etc.

    But now I am riding fixed. Arggghhhh I can't stop counting. I count when I'm cycling, when I'm stationary, when I'm stuck at traffic lights. It wouldn't be too bad if I actually got to a high number or my counting made sense but I find myself sometimes counting to 20, to 50 or getting to 100 and then counting 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 200, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 300 etc.

    It Is driving me nuts.
