Put the chinese wheels for mock up purposes, excuse the non slammed rear and angles, everything is still loose (is this the correct angle for 3t ergo bars/ brake levers?). Seems to be a lot of clearence for 28 mm tires (maybe even 32s since I am gonna use wide rims). The wheels are going to be silver Mavic A119 to silver Novatech Hubs (tester bolt on + fireeye chain tugs method), Sapim race spokes for the front and rear NDS, Sapim plain gauge spoke for rear DS. Also on the look out for a black 48 or 49 Gerbhardt chainring (or similiar).
This is my first serious build (learnt a lot since I joined the forum) and it's going to be done quite on budget (hence the 3T finishing kit). Finally going to try clipless as well (SPD) and won't cut the steerer yet (cause I have two more 3T Forge stems in different lenghts/angle to play with).
Any suggestions/ fails in my way of thinking? The bike will be used one-twice a week for the 1-2 h rides in the surroundings of the city, probably as sunday best as well. -

Big fan of that Bridgestone. Proper sleeper look.
There's a really cheap and sad looking Makino on njsexport that I want to re-home. Remove rust, lacquer, done. -

FredyCro, any reason why you've chosen to go for those butters bars?

The build looks really nice aside from those

don't know, they were cheap and black and 3t, I had those before on my commuter and didn't notice they were flexy, are they really shite ? A friend of mine has a relly nice pair of nittos (hope he will want to swap those for sth) or I can check the local online listing for sth better.

My objections are only on aesthetic grounds, they might be the most comfortable and appropriate bars ever, but this is lfgss and looks are everything.

They sure are :) I thought I misinterpreted what you said anyway... the reach seems quite long when set up like this, so they are gonna have to go probably.

Sapim plain gauge spoke for rear DS
Any suggestions/ fails in my way of thinking?
Plain gauge spokes are always wrong on bicycle wheels.

I thought it was better to go for one of the general designed in china open mold frames as built solid, while top brand frames molds only work properly if using the layup specific to the mold model?

A friend of mine imported a couple so I took one of his hands cheap. I thought it would be an interesting build. I was very doubtful of the quality myself but it seems okay. Extra layering around the stress points etc.
There are mixed reviews if you google them. Some say they will explode at any moment and some owners have put many miles on them with no trouble. Any carbon frame could crack I suppose, let's just say I will be taking the first ride nice and easy.

Will be interesting to hear how you get on with it.
Will be doing plenty of research before trying one as well me thinks.
Out of interest, did you weigh the frame, and the integrated bars too?

not that I don't trust you, but would you care to elaborate for us noobs? from what I read there is no single opinion on this topic and some suggest using plain gauge spokes on disc/DS for stronger wheel (this may be complete bollocks of course).

Pretty sure it's covered in the wheelbuilding thread, read through that and if it isn't, or you have more questions, ask there.
