Is there any local knowledge here on the surfaces?
I’m restoring my bike from the early eighties. I had the frame built with a really short wheelbase and I think the widest rear tyre I can accommodate is 23mm. I need to replace the tyres and can get the tyres below for £10 each anyone any ideas how they would last on the route surfaces, doing the 100 miles.
On another note, I don’t really remember coloured tyres on road bikes back in the early ‘80s does anyone know what sort of period a coloured tyre with a gumwall would fit.
