FWIW I have an old bi metallic Tag with champagne face. (present) Needs a dark/contrasting strap! :-S
I'm assuming when we talk about bi-metallic it's in relation to the straps, case and bezels, no? Using things like gold hands, faces, etc. is usually done well imo.
I think fashion and tastes account for a huge amount. Being born in the 80s meant that in the 90s me and my mates thought that absolutely everything between 1969-89 was fucking hideous and beyond shit. I still think gold on the right skin tone looks good - ie dark. But if you're light skinned then I just don't think yellow gold ever really suits. People just get used to it out of convention.
This all day.
