  • I believe they came from Germany.

There are better rims in that profile now though

  • Long time lurker, happy to be here.

My summer project: 88 Cannondale Criterium (non-canti dropouts)

  • Apologies for the potato quality of the photos. Waiting until I get an actual wheelset before I do a proper shoot.

  • I like it!!! Is that a DA stem?

  • Kalloy.

It's my learning build as far as road bikes go. DA 7701 chainset and Shimano 600 freewheel though!

  • I'm joining the club. It'll get Ultegra 6800 for now but not sure on wheels yet. It's only meant as a temporary frame, but if I like it I might even keep it...

  • You will like it. I guarantee it. 54cm?

  • Yep 54. I'm sure I will. If I like it and I'm feeling really flash I may replace it with a CAAD10/Supersix.

  • Excellent, let me know when you finish it so I can take it off your hand.

  • ..and this's mine: 6,6 kg of satisfaction

  • Nice, very nice.
    These are my 3: (5+5= 10) ;)

    Loving those chairs

Going to be ace! Is that steerer enough for you? Also what wheels have you decided?

  • Ultegra 6800

What happened to 105? RIP £600 build

  • £600 is what hes selling it for next month

  • Loving those chairs

They're perfect for propping up bikes. Horrible for sitting tho.

  • What happened to 105? RIP £600 build

6800 was only £150 more than 105 so it was a no brainer to be honest.

For now - something factory built. Still haven't decided. Shimano RS11/21/31/61. But probably RS11's for now.

    Yeah - plenty of steerer.

    ftfy

  • Yeah, until I get the money back from quidco it cost me £150 more ;-)

  • £18 rebate. So hip hop. Ballin'.

  • Lovely CAAD9 up there Howard.

  • 18 quid is better than nothing. Though to be honest, getting ultegra at 450 even without the rebate is well good value, innit.

    This is awesome.

  • My CAAD5 which I had set up as my "winter" bike with SKS Raceblade Long mudguards, although it's now my only road bike after I sold my Synapse Carbon. I'm thinking of changing the fork out for a full carbon one - don't suppose anyone has a Cannondale one they'd like to part with?

  • Arrived yesterday. It's my first Cannondale. It's a bit of a plain jane so thinking of ways to jazz it up. Sorry about the crappy pic
