    Only if bids are made within 24 hours of clicking the link.

    There are lots of complex rules on these things, but the gist is:
    1) Cookies expire after a given time
    2) The last referrer before the sale gets the prize

    In the case of eBay, "Buy it now" transactions are only credited if the cookie was set within 24 hours.

    So if you link through, watch something, and buy it 25 hours later... no revenue for the forum.

    If you were to have clicked again, just before buying it... revenue for the forum.

    Shops like Chain Reaction, Wiggle and Rapha give more realistic cookie expiration times, usually 30 days. eBay cookies are much shorter because the life of a product for sale is shorter.
