  • I might be going on Friday afternoon with a couple friends just for a look around, no real riding.

I'd like to come in the morning but I don't have a proper bike and have school.

great! would love to come if you don't mind a newb tagging along. where to meet?

  • Dooooooooo it. 10:30 at Chingford Station?

I'll be riding out, along the lea nav if you want join me.

  • will probably take a train out. see you there!

  • Great :)

  • I'll be riding from forest rd / Walthamstow if anyone is coming from that way.

  • Have fun, you lot :-)

  • Damn! Missed out on mud action...

  • Yip - was good. Epping is muddy now, mostly thanks to yesterday's rain. But it's mercifully unsticky, and there are some nice damp grippy bits.

Kudos to Blowfish for sticking it out. On a Rocket Ron front / Nobby Nic rear I was struggling for grip, so on Sammy Slicks she did very well.

  • Thanks for the ride! very glad mud was fairly easy to get off =)

  • I like posting anything honey badger related in this thread, so....

Honey badger tyres now in 2.4" downhill version!

    Only 26" or 27.5" though :-/

  • Looks good.

Anyone around for a slackers ride tomorrow?

  • finally got a gear hanger for the badgers bike ... yeah the one that i snapped the rear hanger on last summer
it's in bits right now .. in fact it's in ALL the bits
cleaning her up and re building
if i can finish it by tomorrow i'd be up for a ride
i bet there's some part that i need and don't have
    it's always the way

  • knew it .... rear mech cable a bit mangled needs replacing
how does one re cable an old x9 shifter ?

also howard can you link me to a good site to re cable those xt deore shifters you sold me too
am gonna put new cables in those when i get them on the lobster

you tube or shimano website ?

  • Errrrm I think you release all the tension in the shifter then pop off a little plastic cap and push the cable straight out. Not too tricky iirc

  • For anyone on here that uses the ( bikers ) High Beach tea hut.

Petition to save the tea hut

  • Follow the tall man one more time....

    July 26th

  • Next and possibly only ride of this Summer will be on Saturday 26th of July.
