Rapha, nice but a bit pricey?

Impulse bought some of the black GT gloves on Ebay for £45. Anybody use em/can comment on their efficacy?

I personally find them a little uncomfortable around the knuckle holes but otherwise good. I've found they've never "softened up" the way they're claimed to. £45 is alright to check them out, at full whack I wouldn't bother. They seem like they will last well, at least.

I have two friends who own them and swear by them, though. I think I might just be a bit fussy with mitts.
