Why the fuck do we have wheel size fanboyism? Commitment > equipment.
-
• #6528
aaaaaaaaaaanyway. anyone got a front 700c disc wheel for sells?
-
• #6529
700c is heavier,
weaker
allows a longer wheel base
less available with disc -
• #6531
but is faster!
bad example of being fast beacause of the wheel.....

26- pretty much have to have an expensive polo spec frame, most of which far too extreme and twitchy.
700c- disposable frames- most frames will do. A cm or two of Wheelbase counts for very little as long as it handles well. -

This is a silly argument...
26 > 700

Erryday.

Anyone got some milk light shafts going spare, +95cm?
-
• #6536
if the bike is going the same speed 26" wheels are actually faster.
yes, 700c wheel riders usually have shitter frames as well.

Shut up Scotty, your guns are pretty so keep your mouth shut.

Not sure about team smile but I know at least one of them was 700c. So lets say the other 2 were 26.
so out of the 5 teams that have been world champs 3 bikes have been 26. 3/15 #justsaying #we700everyday ##1

The one and only tournament I won was when I played on 26 for the first time.
Also if price of frames is a factor there are millions of 90's mtbs out there going dirt cheap that are perfect for polo

24" jump/DS frame with a short fork should give polo angles without a low BB or crazy long chainstays/wheelbase.

As far as having an affordable decent bike 700c is definitely the way to go. My whole bike owes me less than £300 and I'm not changing it anytime soon.
I recently built a 26er because I was tempted by the dark side and was offered a cheap travel Marino. I've tried my hardest but I hate the thing, and the build weren't cheap, probably selling it some time soon. -

26" ain't dead. They accelerate quicker, are lighter, stronger and more manoeuvrable. When I first saw polo I thought, yeah nice one but everyone needs to be on 26".
I'm thinking about going 700 again though as the size of the wheel for defensive positioning is unparalleled. That's the only advantage as far as I can see. I think a mix of 26" and 700 in a team is a good set-up. Does CMD's Polo ride 26" no?

26 have their merits. But they are the training wheels of bike polo.

Yeah Paul is 26. I actually think a mixture of the two in a team is the best.
-
• #6547
A mixture of the two in one bike is a good idea but looks funny.

So now that's cleared up... Anyone got any milk light shafts going spare, +95cm?

The guts and glory ones are similar, why not use them?
