Done also

I think if you could remove the rule of 'no cross-posting adverts', and people stop being a police for this, this could encourage more people to trade on this site.

Nearly four years I've been enjoying myself round these parts, had no idea how tight things were.
Donated.

There's been huge debate over that elsewhere on the forum. Now is not the time or place IMHO.

That doesn't earn the site any money, and we'd get a load of cross-posted spam.
Can't say you've sold me on it.
Though if eBay is going to take a dive in affiliate revenue, and Microcosm charges for adverts (see earlier post about making charges reasonable)... then hell, payments would stop spam and I'd argue for lifting the cross-posting rule if that's what users wanted.

I shall remove the word nice.
Plonk = £6.
Fine wine = £15.That's about right... though I realise there's no upper bounds on these things.
Can you add an option for a bleach cocktail?

How can I donate but not get the gold star?
Direct paypal donations won't trigger the callback to the forum that awards the gold star.

Thanks for keeping things ticking over. Please don't let it come to this again, you deserve much better.
Good luck!

I had originally set up a subscription (c.April 2012) but on checking after seeing this (I was motivated to increase the level) it appears that it was cancelled by the seller (i.e. LFGSS) in September 2012.
I still have had a gold star and the donate tab is not red when logged in, so it never occurred to me that the regular donation was not still up and running. Is this something which has happened to others? If everyone checked there could be a few more intended donations which are not reaching the empty coffers at LFGSS HQ.
Fixed now btw, and good luck.

Velocio i'm sure you have already addressed this earlier and I have no idea how to run a website or business or the logistics of it but have you perhaps looked into advertising on the site?
Bikeradar have been doing it for a while and although the site looks wank I am sure it helps with their running costs?
It just seems unfair for you to have to put so much of your own cash into this even if it is something you hold so close to your heart.
Also again I have no idea if this would be possible, but is there a way of perhaps linking this site to the LFGSS cycle club you mention and perhaps sharing some of those profits with the site?

Donated, naively didn’t appreciate the running costs!

My donations stopped when I changed my card and PayPal needed some code from my statement to link my card which I've never needed to do for any other transaction. It's balls, you should have a word with them. It'll never work for financial record-phones like me.

They do this so that they know it's not somebody setting up a paypal account for themselves using your bank account that can then be used to hoover up all your cash to spend on PAYG phones and flatscreen tellies. Paypal asking for a couple of characters from you by way of confirmation that you're not being defrauded is a good thing.
Upgraded....... Couldn't find the bubbly and strippers option, would be flippin funny seeing that on the monthly bank statement! 'Mortgage approval Sir, let's just check your account........... Erm.........' Too funny.
