I was really happy with the RX100 (need to repair it due to water damage, my own fault), the larger sensor make a nice difference.
Another option is the Panasonic Lumix GM1, not tried it but some on here have one and wax lyrical about it's compact body (slightly bigger and thicker than the GRD) but with the benefit of interchangeable lenses and larger sensor.
It cost a fair bit more, but may be a worthy upgrade from the compact Ricoh, especially with low light.
