So Ho. When are you gonna join the HH carbon revolution? Don't want to get anymore cracks in that Canyon do you?
Soon...but wont be for track!

^^ Look at the saddle angle - it's not level, the nose is dipped. I'm supposing that this is the rider making an adjustment to get their hands to the hoods with the -17 deg stem without causing.. er, loss of feeling or discomfort... But this will also tip his hips forward and put more weight on his hands. Whereas if he had the bars a little higher, he could afford to have the saddle level and therefore distribute his weight better.

good man

^^ ok, you mean weight on the saddle. A longer/lower front end doesn't mean more weight on the front, unless your torso is made of blancmange. A too-long/low front end might.
Only the owner knows if it's comfortable and if his hands are in the right place.
I'm one of those weirdos that usually needs a -17* stem on most frames. On that frame in size 56 I might be ok with a 0* ..... but wouldn't hazard a guess on anyone else's fit.
The saddle angle does look a bit off.

^^ such roadie douchebag chat...
:-)

^^^ Yeah I get what you're saying - but I've always been told by bike fitters that you start with the saddle position/angle/distance from the BB and then make everything else work in relation to that.
Total douchebag chat. 100% twattery.

It's arrived
The paint, it's just... so... ugly....
Any plans for a respray?

My mtb got stolen a few months back and next to my current TT project I can't spare much, but I'm considering a cheap steel SS build, maybe 29er. Is the On-One Singlespeed 29er recommendable? Would be my first SS bike ever, what's a reasonable gear ratio to start with for a not too fit guy?

About 50", but you might go in either direction from there depending more on the terrain you ride than the level of fitness.

I haven't ridden this for a long time. Put it back together today. Ready for track season ;-) Can't wait!

Hulsroy I'm envious of that Bianchi...

I made some progress on the Forza, just need to confirm the stem and saddle heights but they are the same as on my Vigorelli according to the tape measure. Going to chop the steerer too probably.
Better pictures to come.

Gumwalls going on my Bianchi on the strength of how good Hulsroy's looks. Very jealous.

Finally managed to get a 2.8, don't know yet what to do with it, right now it's a 'parts bin' build.
Also some gumwalls for the Balk (and a Grammo stem on the way)

Wow! looking lush mate! How does it ride?

I don't think he's ridden it yet. Finished this last night, and it seems that he took Makino today.

sumo, get a spirit level, it's much easier to get the fit nearly 100% perfect than with a measuring tape.
-
• #92299
spirit levels aren't that great at measuring distances though

They help massively with saddle - bottom bracket distance, and nose of saddle - bar (if you're using the same saddle).
Quickest and easiest way of dialing the fit without fiddling with an allen key when you go out for a ride.
Is this based on something?
