The internet shows us a constant stream of footage from people who are "better" than us, and it's made people so trick hungry. It doesn't come easy for everyone, I sucked when I started and spent years working on bunnyhops, 180s and feebles. I stuck with it because it was fun, took me to interesting places and allowed me to make some brilliant friends.
It sounds like you just need to mix it up a bit. Personally I'd go out with nothing and just cruise around Central at night doing little gaps, manuals and wallrides whilst not really stopping to session any real spots. But then there are the numerous different skateparks with bowls of all shapes and sizes, Stockwell, Victoria park, Kennington, Cantelowes, The Spot, ect. Carving round Stockwell is a wonderful feeling, it's big enough to be intimidating and give you a bit of a buzz without the all out fear of hitting the deep end at Victoria Park.
Also you could take your pegs off, then there isn't any pressure to learn a new grind.
Maybe we should sort out a LFGSS bmx ride some time soon.
It's not about the tricks!
