My bmx sat unused for 2.5 years, there was no way I could bring myself to get rid of it. I knew that one day I'd want to have a go again even though my mind was saying it was all over.
Have you got people you ride with? Having a good little group of people to go out for a ride with can make a huge difference, but at the same time going for a solo blast through the streets hitting curb cuts and exploring hits the spot.
Maybe you just need to mix it up. Everyone focuses too much on tricks these days, stick to the basics and get comfortable then everything else will start to fall into place. Take a lesson from Ratkid.
