  • Plenty also are not.

  • For sure.

  • I like the challenges. Screw the jerseys though. Although the may one is cool.........

  • Friend has the January Grand Fondo one. Looks really nice but screw that price tag.

I wonder if anyone has bought every single jersey/t shirt they've offered.

    Or any of them.

  • I like the idea if a virtual trophy room. But I don'tneed dozens of running top and short sleeved jerseys.

  • not bought any jerseys or whatever off strava but the may GF jersey is tempting

  • Most of the QoMs in and around London have nearly all been taken by a member of my club. She has some ridiculous times!

Oooh what's her name? There's a fair few recurring names in the top 10s that I now expect to see and be beaten by, which makes it all the more satisfying when I get a faster time than them!

  • Her name is Greta:

Her QoMs are 21 pages long.

  • Holy shit! I was feeling smug about reaching my second page...and she's got ALL the Swains segments!

I have taken her crown on ONE segment punches air

  • Joined the lufgus strava gang.
    Currently 114th.
    #Ballin'

  • Guy who always appears top of the leaderboards around me had KOM for going down Swains

  • I'm lucky to have a few KoMs. Can't sprint to save my life.

  • Short sprint segments are crap. Good segments last 10min+

  • And only count if you buy them dinner first?

That's most English climbs out then.

  • I've started using the routeplanner.

I think it's better than Bikeroutetoaster or Garmin's thing.

    ^ cool story.

  • Christ, I completely forgot that existed, thanks for reminding me. I'll need to give it a go myself, I've got to plot a route to Canterbury for a few weeks time and know nothing about the area. I'd resigned myself to accidental A-road hell there and back.

  • My first forum ride was to Canterbury- Sam "on here" has a good route for it.

  • ^^ I think it's a winner.

It gives you a reliable elevation info (Garmin doesn't) and is easy to reroute and edit your points (Toaster isn't).

Only the top 8 are sub 10 mins on Rivington (west side) http://www.strava.com/segments/rivington-to-top-of-rivington-rd-755239

Yep, even the hills that feel long aren't 10 mins long.

Cragg Vale KOM 16:26, uphill all the way.

    Proper hill.

  • Boast post^

    That'll be this Sam? https://www.lfgss.com/thread5574.html

His second route seems a little shorter and not as climby than the one Strava generated for me even taking into account mine going through Canterbury and out the other side: http://www.strava.com/routes/297901

    What's the catch?

  • I did this last long weekend: http://www.strava.com/activities/131527324

Here is a link to my route: http://www.strava.com/routes/275414

If you can avoid A20 that'll be good if not its not too hectic tbh.

The more you stay on Pilgrim's way the nicer the ride.

  • Looks good, cheers - similar to other routes I've done before that haven't gone out that far, so it'd reduce the changes of getting massively lost while still close to london.

I've never actually used the Pilgrim's Way before - is it signposted? Or is it like a proper road, only singletrack?
