What an excellent article. Some fascinating tidbits of info about the Pelican series. Far more aesthetically pleasing than the Dummies guides too.
Particularly liked the description of one of the original editors in regard to the series' success:
"This despite, or because of, the fact that the co-founding editor of the series, VK Krishna Menon, was a staunch socialist and teetotal vegetarian who drank 100 cups of tea a day and slept for only two hours a night."
