Training was fun this morning, sure smaller group means we had to work harder to get back to the main coach group but definitely a good work out session, though I was at my limit when we had to do go off in a good of two! (Plus I was definitely over geared riding in such a strong headwind) :/ sprints was good fun as always (though I thought we only had 3 go each before the coach changed the drill!) hence why I pulled out after my three turns! :(

^ absolute lies, you just wanted to blow my legs apart trying to keep up with you in the sprint then went for a nice sit down!

^^ No we we're only meant to do three, then the coaches held a democratic vote and hung us out for another go.
Absolutely shattered now. Felt like I was going to throw up during a couple of the drills, and then another (easier) 50 miles afterwards. I'll sleep well tonight!

gonna be down for my first intermediate session of the year tomorrow. What's the haps with training when it rains, as it looks like it will do tomorrow?
Does training go ahead no matter the weather as long as the track is rideable, or do they call it early? -
• #3482
If they do call it early, it'll be on the Twitter I would think.
-
• #3483
It's going to be a difficult one to call tomorrow - forcast is heavy rain until about 10, then showers. Coaches will just have to decide at the time.

Urgh, stupid rain. I've already done wet race training and wet Regent's laps this week, I don't really want to do a third wet ride this week.

Apols corny. Hope you got down this morning.

Think I'm now ready to get humiliated in Inters and MNRT.
Plus track skills make me nervous. Today I saw some chap's feet fly out of the clips and zigzag along trying to get his feet back in. He was directly in front of me. I was wearing my unimpressed face the whole while.

Really regret having done this after the Guinness ride with no dinner and no breakfast - felt so sloooooow!

Ha, that is pretty impressive! (Hope you're not the guy YAL is referring to above?)
Inters was hard today, with such a small group. My leg cramped completely at the end of the first hour, which made my knee ache no end.Got some impromptu coaching from another rider, which was good. Completely different feel from last week but just as exhausting

ha no, clipless ftw

Inters looked like so much fun. I was pretty lucky as I ended up in the fast(er) group at the end. Good training but feel I had a lot more to give.
And Branwen is being modest - I saw him win one sprint and just get pipped for second!

I had a similar experience, wake up, it's beautiful sunshine, realise it's already 10am because I didn't set an alarm in anticipation of rain.

I just couldn't be bothered. Extra hour in bed followed by 3 hour ride... I'm happy.

First inters of the year for me today. Looks like I picked quite a spicy one to start with. Good to be stretched though. YAL - from the times I've seen you at TNRC, you'd be fine. Get yourself to an accreditation.

^^ Cheers Dumps. Was hoping to do it after I got my own track bike (delivered next week!) but decided to go ahead so booked in for tomorrow. Fingers crossed it goes ok.
^ Great clip!
Terrible training today, much smaller group than usual so we got some sprints in...
