• I suspect you are going to kill me this year on the climb, so I'm popping over to France to test myself up Ventoux early next month.

    I should probably run up it after the cycle, to do a complete test.

    Its all relative. I'm in better shape than I have been for a decade. Both running and cycling. But I'm just not a fast athlete in either.

    I will try and talk the guys into running up after the ride. But I dont think any of us will fancey 3 hrs of calf pain. Such a silly idea.
