Will my lust for this ever go away?
On another note, having sold both my shite 'fashion' watches for the sum of about £400, I need to fill a gap between my nice watch and my G-Shock. I guess I'm in the market for a nice looking daily watch that won't break, won't break the bank, and won't break my heart if something were to happen to it.
Been looking at 2nd hand primarily but open to suggestions...
These could do, but I would prefer something with a non-black dial and dark brown strap to mix things up a bit.

So what is the skinny on the Speedy? I'm looking at them on eBay and there is a large price range. I can see some aesthetic differences but I don't know much about watches let alone Omegas specifically.

No...
ha. I agree the other one looks way better, but that's got my name on it ffs.

Is this one more expensive just because of the case back engraving or is the overall spec significantly different?

The " moon watch " is a steel manual wind mechanical chronograph . Current retail is 2880 I believe ( dont have Omega in my store ) . There are many other speedmasters in the range most of which are automatic and have a slightly smaller case size ( 40mm as opposed to 42 mm ) . The moon watch is the only one designated speedmaster professional on the dial and is the watch worn on the moon and on spacewalks outside .
It has been in production with minor tweeks for ever , since the early 60's . There have been lots of ltd edition and commerative models , and they do a gold one . George Clooney wore one in The American , on a leather strap and the model with a sapphire crystal glass and exhibition back rather than the more common hexalite crystal and engraved steel back . I fucking love 'em -
