    Everyone says that their engineering is without parallel- so it just washes over you as standard marketing drivel.

    Seriously? What do you think of Hope hubs? Or Middleburn cranks?
    Rather than 'bling', I've seen each of them as pretty much 'the all-round best' ever since they came to market. CK headsets were a must-have on most nice MTB builds in the '90s, and even then the absolute quality of them overshadowed their aesthetics - their rep has stayed rock-solid ever since, imo.
    No marketing needed really, just talk to any shop mechanic that works with the stuff - it's fit-and-forget, unless you're a weight-weenie.
