Wheel decision thus far:
Flo 30 / 20H / Stealth Black decals - 570g ± 20g
20 CX Rays - ~4.25 X 20 = ~85g
Novatec A291SB-SL front hub - 60g
20 Velocity Veloplugs - 5g
Flo 30 / 24H / Stealth Black decals - 570g ± 20g
24 CX Rays - ~4.25 X 24 = ~102g
Novatec F482SB-11 Hub - 240g
24 Velocity Veloplugs - 6g
Gives us about 1672g, plus or minus about 50g. That's not too bad for a wheelset with 600g rims...
Add in 44g KCNC skewers, 2 X 70g Latex Tubes and one 23c GP4000S (216g) and one 25c GP4000s (230g) gives me a grand total of 2302g... almost exactly the same as the Ksyriums they are replacing.
Is the improvement in aerodynamics and rolling resistance worth it? I can't really see where I can cost-effectively lose weight apart from getting lightweight rims, something that will completely remove the performance improvements that are more important than weight for me...
Big ups Kalloy though, this is a great (if fake) way to show off your lightweight gear.
