And I thought London was the leading city in Europa, vegan wise (in the article they say it's Berlin)...
My money would be on Berlin now, too--it may have overtaken London (which is, obviously, pretty good). I'm always hearing that veganism is growing hugely in Germany. For one thing, we don't yet have vegan supermarkets in London, and there are quite a few in Germany.
Whenever I've been to Germany recently to see my family, I've noticed new attention to veganism (newspaper articles, a well-regarded omnivorous restaurant in Mainz now has a vegan menu (I've been meaning to go, but they were closed both times we tried), etc.). There was also an optimistic article in The Vegan about Germany a while back.
