  • Thanks, so consistency in sizing is the main issue?

hah, their length is fucked. One pair was 36, then next 35, and this new pair is 37.... grrr

  • Yeah - I know that feel too. I think a lot of us probably do. My ED-55s are really tight. Well, they were until I'd worn them for a few weeks. They're okay now though.

  • #cyclistsproblems

You reckon if the waist is ok, I can wear them in a bit and get them fitting alright?

  • Thanks Kirth, makes me feel more confident about my choice.

hehe not sure if sarcastic or not, but honestly, the only time they didn't fit is when I really tried to save $25 on hemming by sizing down. Stupid me. Jeans now belong to my brother and there goes $120.

  • Nope, serious.
Real experiences with fit are very helpful.

  • Picked up a pair of Lee 101 z 1952 jeans , the same as the ones in the link , for the crazy cheap price of £60 .

They came still in the postal bag from Japan via an e-bay seller and retail in Japan for around £200 even more here when they can be had .

  • Obviously not selvedge, but I thought someone might be interested.

I bought a pair of 511's without (foolishly) trying a pair on. I didn't realised they were that slim fitting/my thighs were that large. I literally can't get them all the way up!

Anyway, I just want to recoup my costs £35 posted, £30 dropped off in London.

    33" waist
    30" leg

2nd hand, but in new condition.

  • I still have that pair of Lee 101Z "slim" (not slim) I was trying to move on a few pages back. They are a 34/34 but actual measurement of the waist comes in at 36. I used to like them a bit baggy but as I'm finding even 32s a bit big at the moment there is no way I'll ever wear them again but they are too nice to just dump.

  • I see that RPM West are doing another kickstarter. Last one worked out pretty well, decent price even after tax was added on arrival.

  • Backing the Uniqlo selvedge as a cheap suggestion. Not stiff and crispy though..

  • no way the quality of the uniqlo jeans is pretty bad now and they only come in 34" length so by the time you have paid for them to be taken up you might as well have got something decent in the right size on sale

  • well I'm wearing 34x32 straight off the peg - at the same price as their normal jeans, I'd say they are significantly nicer.

Not the same quality as the Japanese run they had 3-4 years ago but better than anything near the price point.

Good for keeping in the office.

  • fair enough, so do they do other lengths other than 34" again? that is good to know.

  • Oxford st store had - 28-34 from memory

  • no way the quality of the uniqlo jeans is pretty bad now and they only come in 34" length so by the time you have paid for them to be taken up you might as well have got something decent in the right size on sale

And quite a low rise compared to Levi 501s and 615s that I normally wear. I sent them back.

So if anyone knows selvedge with same rise as above. Keep me informed.

  • Remember when Uniqlo arrived in the UK marketed as the Japanese Gap for salarymen? With the green selvedge in humungous sizes up to 44 or something?

  • no way the quality of the uniqlo jeans is pretty bad now and they only come in 34" length so by the time you have paid for them to be taken up you might as well have got something decent in the right size on sale

Uniqlo take up their jeans for free, 1 day turn around. No comment on the quality, but that is a nice service.

  • Where's d-good with my denimmy pics?

  • I see that RPM West are doing another kickstarter. Last one worked out pretty well, decent price even after tax was added on arrival.

I am really tempted with their black ones. I have the Gustin Black2 which I like but they are not totally dark dark black. Have a pair of the original RPM heavies, which I love and wear most days.

  • I got like 3 pairs of raw Levi's 511s brought back by my parents from the states, plus all my selvedge... Probably space for some black selvedge in there right?

  • Decent ,grey, fat bastard/big thighs jeans anyone?

  • Decent ,grey, fat bastard/big thighs jeans anyone?

Levis Skate, like commuters with the stretch but a slightly wider cut. They are 513 cut/style

Can't buy them though levis website though.

  • Where's d-good with my denimmy pics?

    incoming!

  • I have just received a really nice pair of Edwin x Blitz black jeans, brand new, from tilover on here.

Sadly while the 32" waist size is ok, I can't get them far enough over my thighs to make the crotch high enough to walk properly.

I wish this was just a boast post as they are really nice jeans, but is there anyone skinny legged who would like them for the same price I paid, £75?

Bump, these aren't going to fit.

I can't put my hands in my pockets without grating them.

    Anyone?
