Bought a set of wheels earlier this year with Royce hubs, later found out, that I will need 1.310 x 24tpi lockring, which I couldn't find anywhere, so I phoned Cliff at Royce and ordered one for £15. He charged me £6.50 on top of that for P&P, which he didn't mention at all. Week later no sign of my lock ring. I emailed twice, but there was no reply. Two weeks later I phoned and received a tracking number, went to my local post office to find out, that the address and my surname was misspelled (I emailed my address). The price for postage on envelope was £1.63. Not saying that Cliff is a bad trader, but it certainly didn't leave a good impression after all.
I was left with eyes watering when I had to buy a replacement axel end-nut for my front wheel. £15 for two (I only needed one) then the postage.
On reflection I should have just bought a generic one and had it mismatched, but at the time I assumed it would be Royce-specific. Made me feel fucking stupid for buying British and getting an ouchey bumhole for the privilege.
