moral of the story - don't put your trust in anyone no matter how legit they appear!
the numbers we found from 2 subsequent ebay accounts as well had links to around 15 bikes on ads from gumtree so it was essentially an organised gang. The seller was an economics student as well. Looks like a respectable chap eh?
