  • OK so coming to this party pretty late but I am marathoning tomorrow. My Achilles tendon is quite swollen despite not having run on it for over a month. (not the best prep, I know). Any positive, last minute things I can do to ease the tightness in my calf prior to tomorrow morning. I've had a bit of physio but no more time for that so any suggestions? I had hoped to do it in 4'-4'30 but that's gone out the window now - just hoping to finish without injuring myself permanently. It's all for a good cause though (www.justgiving.com/jolyonwhaymand if anyone's feeling pitiful).
    any suggestions for how to spend today? I had planned a short run with lots of stretching to try to loosen up. Thoughts?
