Freeman's in Norwich again. Grabbed the back of my saddle to lift the bike over the front doorstep, saddle bracket snapped off and fell to the floor, the "S" bit. Looked at the fracture and a third of the diameter of the break was oxidised, must have cracked ages ago. Rode it carefully to the shop and Mr Freeman fitted this:

and charged me £20. Gonna give him a tray of tomato seedlings I've got in the greenhouse unless I forget or can't be bothered.
