  • A little, more treacley coffee for me though. Could definitely drink it first thing tho as a starter.... hic

  • Yeah, could see myself waking up and reaching for one, decent strength too wasn't it, 6ish?

  • 7.4% coffee and chocolate oatmeal stout. Definitely the same stuff, it was beautiful, easy drinking but full of flavour. I want one for breakfast right now.

  • yeah 7.4 was the one. Brunch more than brekkie now tho?

  • Well, I was in bed when I wrote that.

Don't forget to turn Jeremy Kyle on as well you feckless, good-for-nothing, benefits, single-mother, pramface scrounger!

  • ^^ are you out at Tesco Express in your onesie & ugg boots yet?

  • All about aldi in my tracky bottoms and stained wife beater, me. I can't afford ugg boots and tesco prices with my dole money going on expensive breakfast ale.

  • Went on the Shepherd Neame your yesterday, very interesting, and the tasting at the end was nice. Didn't know they brewed the Samuel Adams Boston larger under licence, very nice. Highlights included the Dragonfire st George's day ale and the 1698 bottle conditioned ale.

  • hadrons collision, very good when watching andrew graham dixon on the culture show

  • Ha, that was funny.

  • ^^ I've been enjoying Principal Edward's Magic Theater and Gorky's Zygotic Mynci.

  • Not usually a fan of Brooklyn Lager, but their East India Pale Ale is rather nice.
Went past the brewery today, s'nice.

  • that many, cleansers

  • Spotted 25 odd bottles of this a few days past the best before at work today! I was told I could buy them all for £1 each. Nailed it.

  • Currently in Wetherspoons (You can do take-out so you don't have to stay for the atmosphere) Yeastie boys Gunnamatta IPA, tea infused double IPA. Out of this world! http://www.yeastieboys.co.nz/beer/gunnamatta-ipa/

Also last night I splashed out on an Omnipolo Fatmorgana recommended by the guy at Pieminister near the Craft Beer Co on Leather Lane. Thankyou!

That popped up in untappd when I checked in a bottle of green-tea-infused-or-some-shit IKI at Wagamama last night. I thought they were Aussie given the name but I see it's Kiwi brewed for an Aussie beer festival. Might have to visit a 'spoons god help me..

  • Also available in Wagama? Nice.

  • No, "IKI" is available in Waga, untappd just posed the Gunnamatta as a "You might also like... "

For the record that was the first time in a Wagamama and I was quite disappointed.

  • At the Crown and Anchor in Brixton. Better selection than I remember. Had the below so far.

Brew Dog - Dead Pony Club
    Brixton Brewery - Electric IPA
    Brixton Brewery - Effra Ale

When they have it in get a couple of pints of "Stiff Upper Lip"
    Lovely stuff
Happens to be my local too - great place as also has a morleys just next door

When Wagamama first opened it was very decent. Then it completely went to pot after Alan Yau sold it. It's better than it was at its worst, but it's still not very good.

  • I enjoy their Giant Soups. I don't enjoy sitting with strangers.

Go to Tonkotsu in Soho, the ramen is on a completely different level and they have seats along the wall for antisocial loners and normal tables for small parties.

  • I resent the fact you think I live in London and work in Soho. (I do live in London and work in Soho)

  • Amberley Ale Festival Friday 29 to Sunday 31 August.
Best ale festival I've ever been to and certainly held in the most scenic area.
One train straight from Victoria, takes about an hour and a half. Well worth the trip.
