I think much of the argumentation in this thread would have been avoided if you'd been specific here. Kalloy make a huge range of seatposts, of which some are indeed as nasty as they are cheap. My 'approved' status applies specifically to the SP-248, which is a thing of beauty and a joy forever thanks to Kalloy
paying homage tocopying the Campag C-Record cradle design. As it's available in pretty much every diameter known to man, in 400mm & 300mm lengths, and either silver or black, it is a solution to almost every request for a seatpost to fit whatever frame and colour scheme. If you want something in the common 27.2mm (standard) or 31.6mm (oversize) diameters, there are plenty of options, some of them work just as well and are just as inexpensive.
