I've found Hope Vision 1 suitable for audaxing in the dark, lots of unlit country roads but probably not going the same pace you described.
Recently went overnight off-roading with 2 Vision 1s on the bars and Diablo on helmet. Rate both lights highly, ran just a single Vision 1 for most flat/up sections and either doubled up or tripled up with the Diablo for any downhill sections. Moon was out but there was moving cloud, would probably have been fine with both Vision 1s constantly if it had been a darker night and the Diablo for descents, opening gates, pushing sections.
Never had any issues with either Hope mount, think it works really well across several bikes
