there's some carbon record cranks in classifieds atm...

Forum folk coming on a little strong... They mean well and their advice should be followed. All carbon parts come with a specified gauge of torque in which to tighten up too. If you ignore this it can end in cracking the carbon either when tightening or whilst riding.
What everyone's attempting to say is investing in a torque wrench will potentially save you a lot of future pain and expense.
Giant do a torque wrench for 50 quid... A tube of carbon paste is maybe 3-4 quid. Well worth the investment for full carbonz.
... Soon. Just start looking for the cracks! It's not about manning up, it's about saving money and doing it right!
not really, only roboto being a bit funny, but most of the guys like yourself have been giving sound advice rather than trying to mug me off,
I might not know much about carbon etc but before i even touch the frame i will be studying and researching a lot so if you guys can recommend any material to read it would be much appreciated... -

^^just read manuals and follow guides; a torque wrench is one of the best investments possible, for aluminium, carbon, steel, pixie dust, whatever, loads of people have cracked thomson faceplates by over-torquing
any idea how you're going to build it up? is it going track or tarck?

tarck to be honest, mainly for a short morning commute to work and a bit of cruising on the weekends..

Game changer... totalitarianism
I am pretty sure this is a malaprop. I'm guessing he meant "utilitarian". But maybe it is something else?
are there any solutions to anecdote the effects of running weight in the back end?
This one is unclear to me. You could make an argument that 'antidote' makes more sense there, but "...to antidote the effects of running weight..." sounds off too. There needs to be a post deciphering thread.
Or does it all just go along with a 'no-strings' type of casual relationship with words, angles, and the world in general?

Any one used these before and know if they are any good?

im hoping someone here can answer or confirm my concerns about running rear rack in wet slippery conditions...
are there any solutions to anecdote the effects of running weight in the back end?
riding impressions so far have lead me to believe that the back end will be a struggle to keep in control during braking/stopping when its slick'ery
more or less stretch(stem)/wider bars to help the acute steering and tendency for rear end to wander or shoot forward
many thanks for putting me on the right track

There are a lot of idiots.
I never use my torque wrench. My aero arms have a torque max of 5NM. YOLO

^^^ A fine example of jealousy of the ownership of carbon lushness.
received this today.
a frame i'm deffinately not worthy of.
in the near future, i’m looking to:
in the not-so-near future i’m thinking:
one thing puzzles me. there’s only an 'extreme' decal on the top tube, but only models i've ever heard of are 'extreme-c' and 'extreme power'. resembles an extreme-c the most, but according to the internets, these weren't available until 2006, and the groupset is earlier than that (correct me if i'm wrong). what's up with that? has it been built up with an earlier groupset?
i am yet to find the frame's serial number (not on the inside of the dropouts), not that it would help in any way, but am quite certain it's not a knock-off.
