  • Any plans to change the weather forecast?

Saturday has gone from light rain to overcast and Sunday has been downgraded from heavy rain to light. Keep up the good work!

  • Can we know the 1st round schedule on friday night, so we can be prepared for our game and make sure we're not late? It might speed up registration/bike checks if everyone isn't arriving at the same time.

  • Not sure if accurate yet but https://www.podiumbikepolo.com/ukhbpc2014

  • Anyone sleeping at the full moon on sat?

  • Mudguard's allowed considering rain?

  • Seeded fifth? Is it too late to change my vote on euro allocation?

§2.4.3 – There are no racks, fenders, bottle cages, saddlebags or other additions to the bicycle that may aid in blocking passage of the ball.
§2.4.3.1 – Wheel covers, which only cover the spokes of the wheel, are an exception to
    §2.4.3 and are permitted.

Ass-saver would probably not block the ball, Crud would probably be big enough to block.

SKS or other supported guards would probably be covered by

§2.4.4 – There are no sharp edges, points, loose screws, or otherwise unsafe componentry. This includes but is not limited to: exposed freewheels and cogs, exposed chain rings, and protruding axles.
§2.4.4.1 – If the part of the bike deemed unsafe can be reliably covered and secured, and approved by the referee, it will be an exception to §2.4.4 and will be permitted

  • some interesting seedings...what were they based on?

  • Now, now. Let's not complain. I think they're pretty much spot on.

    I couldn't agree more...

  • what were they based on?

Podium statistics, apparently. Just to note that it's feasible orders will change due to late team changes, but I'm not certain if the seedings will be updated or not.

Is this problematic? I'd struggle to think of a better (not massively time-consuming) way of ranking.

Just to note - some of the Podium rankings look a bit improbable to me, but I guess it depends on whether and when people have been included on it and whether correct names etc have been used.

  • Paging JohnH...

I'll take this to the other thread >>>

I just sent you a PM about a team change

  • The ranking is waaay off, but the first round will sort it out.

(Podium needs more UK data it seems.)

  • With podium do you have to tell it your in a tourney, or does it already know? Registered and found that it had me down for the open last year, but played quite a few via Podium and none of them show?

  • Podium thread >>>>>

  • Hey, so I set it up. I left Podium's seeding as it is, and Bristol can adjust if they want. I would if I was the organiser.

In terms of missing results, send me an email tournaments@nahardcourt.com it may be you have multiple profiles which need to be merged

  • Anyone sleeping at the full moon on sat?

il may go for that too

  • it's full

  • shit

  • I would if I was the organiser

    Really...
To be honest, though there will be discrepancies, some of which are visible even to me, it's too difficult for us really to rank these teams, particularly as we don't really know everyone on the list.
As mentioned above, it'll sort itself out in the Swiss. If people feel very strongly that the list needs revision let us know (off forum), but at this notice, and bearing in mind that any changes will both (potentially) advantage someone and (potentially) disadvantage someone else, I'd rather not.

    Hope that's ok.

Also massive thanks to John H for help with Podium.

  • I wouldn't worry too much about those rankings.

  • Could acid trip be changed to L.A.D.s on tour please

  • Bummed to have to miss this. Was really excited to play with Iain and Zoe, and was looking forward to catching up with Lanslide, Snotty Rob and a ton of others.

    Have fun everyone!

    Go Zoe, Ben, Ed!
