  • Yep, it's opposite the bottom of church street on Stoke Newington high street.

  • am making kimchi tonight for first time. Just picked up a packet of gochugaru chile powder and daikon the size of my leg.

  • Very long shot, but any recommendations for Charleston SC? It turns out I've got a free day tomorrow...

Shit! There was a micro brewery there we ate at about 20 years ago. Amazing oatmeal stout and food was good.

Ask a local. Grits and shrimp. Local oysters. Pork BBQ with the Carolinas vinegary sauce. Fried catfish. Lots of options. They also started reviving the old tea plantations about that time. Could be quite a bit of locally grown tea around to try.

Love Charleston. Great place, proper South.

Bring me back grits and shrimp. And catfish.

    *weeps nostalgically.

  • Had grits for breakfast and shrimp for lunch today. It's a flying visit - arrived late last night and flying back tomorrow night, but I've got time to explore and have lunch tomorrow. I like the place from what little I've seen - the tattooed female limo driver who picked me up at the airport gave me a drive around before dropping me at the hotel...

  • Big microbrewery scene by the look of things

    When in Rome...

  • I'd like to try some of that kimchi.

  • I would prefer the limo driver.

  • Rino Gaetano - Berta filava (completa) - YouTube

Still about food, finely sliced and let it rest.

  • Gizzi Erskine's cat's called Kimchi and is almost a cute as she is

  • Dishoom last night - The Lamb chops were damn good, would also recommend the Masala prawns and the Mattar Paneer

  • Their bacon naan, fuck me.

Damn now I need a bacon naan.

  • ^ That sounds pretty damn good!

  • People at work keep raving about Dishoom, I thought they were just frontin', you telling me that shit is actually legit?

  • I've been on the hunt for somewhere to go tomorrow night with a few people and dishoom was on the list - how is it?

I want not too pricey, relaxed, and a bit different.

    Do you need to book?

exactly this; I've heard praises from wrong people hence never been

  • The owners are related to the Tilda founders. Personally I prefer to go to Roti Chai any day. Hakka chilli paneer ftw.

    Did someone say Naan? http://www.yelp.co.uk/biz/bakhtiars-naan-london
