I have to record an interview but I'm also super skint. The audio quality doesn't have to be amazing but definitely better than an inbuilt mic on a dslr.
Any suggestions, something Chinese and from ebay perhaps or something decent and secondhand? Not got a clue where to start with brands/types at all
I have this you could have for free. Not sure if the quality is better than the in-built mic on a dslr, but this got my throught my uni days with recording lectures, mind you, I used to have to leave it by the lecturer's desk, but it's old technology... You could probably pair this up, or even your camera with a cheap external mic from maplin or somthing. If it's just an interview(s) and you only want to record it to listen back later, either would do. If you want to buy a new one,or whatever, have a look at some of the newer olympus recorders, I use a DM-5 for interviews and stuff these days, it's one of their top ones, but have a look at similar ones to this model but with smaller storage / lower specs, they don't cost that much.

But if you want mine, the offer is there.
