I don't believe in washing blue denim unless you absolutely have to and off the top of my head, I don't know what situation would warrant it...
e.g. If I'd ever washed my Buzz Ricksons the seems would've come apart way before they actually did... ;)

dur.... if they're freshly laundered it makes ironing the crease down the front easier

Pissing into a headwind would warrant it.

I have a couple of carhartt selvedge cotton/canvas jeans to sell - one navy one classic duck, both 34 x 32. Will put them up on classifieds with some other stuff when I get a chance, but there might be someone interested on here. Was thinking of £35 each...

Both quite slim, the navy ones are slimmer and more tapered. Will get exact measurements when I take pics. Might be next week

Photos not uploading properly, but you get the idea. Can email other photos.
Actual measurements:
Blue - W36, IL31
Duck - W34, IL32But they are pretty similar in fit, the blue ones have a lower rise so sit lower, if you know what I mean. Blue ones are slightly slimmer and more tapered.
Anyway, if you want them, let me know. I also have a pair of similar sized grey Rapha trousers to sell, but I'm going off topic now...

I've been doing it since the 90s... No problems here...
You used to be able to get old redlines at American Classics for £40 in the last 80s, same price you'd pay for a new pair of rubbish 501s...

OK, I'm gonna go there...
My old mate, Jasja, is a vintage clothes dealer... Used to have a store here but he's in San Diego now... Because he's a Dutch muppet, he'd change his mind about THE denim care regime every six months... We'd actually argue about it and ruin parties... True story...
Bottom line was 'What would a farmer/miner/etc' do?
Work your arse off, in a hardcore manual fashion, boil wash twice a year... Authentic high E...
