The polo gear would be the bigger so the smaller inner cog would be shielded. I do know some touraments don't allow you to have your flip flop with a 2nd freewheel. But the chances of interaction with the smaller of the two gears on a freewheel is slim. I'm playing in the land of no basic healthcare and no facemasks. I am yet to get a bash guard :(
