So the future proofing part of this was going to be rebuilding the front wheel with an SP dynamo hub, however Charlie can't get stock for a month which isn't an option for me. I could get the upgraded version with an on/off switch but that's £159 rather than £95.
I'm not sure what to do at this stage - for £159 we are entering Schmidt SON territory so I think I may leave it for now and source the SP hub and rebuild the wheel myself... Or maybe with a little help at least.
