There already exist heaps of opportunities for cyclists to get a view from a lorry driver's perspective, including videos (was there a TfL one?). If they want to come out of this with any credibility the best thing they can do is to use the money to train their drivers and properly equip their LGVs.
I know this may not be of interest to your friend (since he's on commission to make the film), but what plans do they have to actually get this film seen by cyclists? How are they going to distribute it effecttively?
