  • Dare i say it, this weeks the walking dead was pretty good!

Let's not get carried away. It's still a post-apocalypse world where a man can somehow maintain a very tidy buzz cut and the walking dead are the only ones who could honestly #nomakeupselfie.
Though I quite like the psychopath survivalists that Daryl has fallen in with. Claimed! is going to make getting a seat on the tube a lot easier in the next few weeks.
Terminus looks promising. It's fortunate that the never-learn-from-past-mistakes rule always applies so we can believe that this will be, like Woodbury, a prelapsarian haven where all will end well. Really, what could go wrong? We've only seen one inhabitant so far but she seems to have access to shampoo and dental care so I'm optimistic.

  • she seems to have access to shampoo

Oh I've fallen into that trap before. Get a bit closer and you find out that they have just rubbed zombie fat all over themselves and rubbed it off with leaves.

  • This is worth a view

The director/narrator is a bit irritating at first but stick with it.
    You are lactose intolerable.

  • Believe looks like its going to be OK. Not great, but worth a watch if US TV nonsense is your thing.

A bit too like Touch, and who can spend hours in a bus station toilet, asleep on the floor and no one knock?

  • ^^Vikings.

  • Sounds like I need to check out Touch.

What I really don't get is why anyone would criticise fiction for lack of realism, unless it is try to be as realistic as possible (I'm guessing Believe isn't attempting to be realistic given the extensive telekenesis). A good story, interesting characters, excitement, watchability, interesting relationships... none of these things need an ounce of realism to make them work (some internal consistency within the programme might be needed, but nothing more than that.) Note - I'm not ready to stick my neck out and say that Believe has a good story, interesting characters, excitement or interesting relationships- but it does have a bit of watchability.

  • Vikings is awesome, Ragnar Lothbrok is a badass.

  • Sounds like I need to check out Touch.

Absolutely, however, by choosing to watch and acepting the premise that telekenisis exists and that Government is in cohorts with Private Geneticists i'd rather the gaggle of writers who sit around a conference table could come up with better locations than a toilet.

Then again, if they are using the toilet as a metaphor for how low and needy the main characters are at that time, it maybe worked.

  • ^^It's got interesting characters and relationships, a healthy dose of violence and a bit of almost accurate historylite.

  • ^ Yes it's ace, mostly because it has Canadian Katheryn Winnick in it.
The most beautiful woman on TV. and she is a Genwine martial arts
    badass to boot.
Also Ragnar is played by an Aussie which makes me lolz.

    she's one beautiful axe maiden.

  • I think she usually just goes by Katheryn Winnick.

    Racists.

  • pfft it's only canuckistan after all

  • but seriously, I only mentioned her Canadian nationality as a marvelous juxtaposition to Travis Fimmel's antipodeanism.

  • Telly sucks, even because i know nothing about, filmography is the hardcore.

  • what if they were to put films on telly?
    eh?

  • Well, then is filmography.

  • Telly sucks, even because i know nothing about, filmography is the hardcore.

    Hardcore sucking?

  • Suckers are never hardcore.

  • So, you've not seen many 'films' then?

  • Yes, I did, that's why I know about it.

  • I'm looking forward to Fargo (mini series).

  • the Dusk til Dawn tv series on netflix is not bad so far, lots of blatant nods to the film, has potential at least.

  • The walking dead season finale...what... the... fuck... so carl was a zombie all along?!

ha sike! I haven't even watched it yet. looking forward to it though as they'll probably all die.

  • I've got it to watch too
