I was checking out the ILE bag when Trying to source a bag for touring. I've got the TCB porteur rack and I'm now making myself a bag from an old post bag. I'll take some photos when done.

That barber-pole paint job is very sloppy.

I'm currently enjoying the new Chrome rack bag.

Yeh I had a look at one of those, though it didn't suit me enough for the price tag. Looks good quality though.

Soma is releasing a low-trail fork (65mm) that you can buy for the Bob Jackson.

think I'm just gna get canti mounts brazed on, it'll be for commuting so im not too worried about the handling not being perfect
-

Why not go m18? Saves the effort of brazons by mounting to the fork legs with glorified p-clips and rubber shims.

cos i wanna run 32C tyres with guards, which fits in the forks, but not any calliper brakes so just get a cheap mini-v

That makes sense. Mounting for bags is usually with velcro straps like so: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bluelug/9042570140/
and on the 'tombstone' like: http://www.acornbags.com/support/boxy8.jpg
Seems pretty easy to take on and off. Picture of both mountings here: http://www.acornbags.com/support/boxy9.jpg

That is all I really want in life- to live in a place where I can fat bike to a mountain, carrying my skis.
Sadly, I think this is an unlikely dream. -

Just move to the Rockies. Sorted ;-)

What about that VO grand cru brake? I thought that was designed to be wide and shallow enough for gaurds and large tyres.
They're pricy but cheaper than braze ons + paint + cheap v's
EDIT: what about centre pulls?

This is fucking rad. Info?

Thought it might be a 'better' tubing than 4130.
-
• #5824
From what I gather you don't really want flexy, thin walled tubing for this kind of bike.
