About 22 mile, 220 mile a week. 5-6 years = 60,000 ish?
The bike lasted to 40k ish before i had to change anything other than tyres and chains, worth bearing in mind though, A40 from Uxbridge has a wide tarmac stretch down nearly all of it so really easy going miles on the bike, then the A406 used to be in good nick so that was easy on the bike parts too. The only rim destroying parts of my journey was the last bit when i came off the A406, Bounds Green Road and Lordship lane had craters in it >.<
Changed the wheels for Charge wheels i think, hub(?) and sprocket got changed to something with Heaven in the name. Again, I know nothing of bikes, so not entirely sure what was put on :)
The frame and handlebars were fine. Think I even had original saddle. Frame was an aluminum one.
My old commute was roughly this
