Plumbing question: everytime I run water in the house the stopcock next to the boiler makes a right racket. It's so loud I'm concerned I'll get into trouble with the neighbours.
The noise stops if I turn said stopcock all the way in, but surely that it's not meant to be turn off all the time? Help please.
You could try closing the stopcock down little by little to reduce water pressure and see if it solves the hammering?
