I'm guessing he originally wants to go through, then realises he's not going to fit, tries to reverse and turn and the river current has other ideas about the matter

A guy did a similar thing to this in Henley. Except the boat fitted. Unfortunately for his Mrs bellow deck. The antenna gubbins did'nt. Came crashing through the roof and trapped her somehow.

Weird thing was, a rescue helecopter came.

Not sure what the plan was there.
