What are my options for brake levers on drop bars that fit modern compacts? I've got some cheapo dia compe levers on it now but they give a terrible, almost unusable transition from the tops
I'd like a set of sram levers but I've seen these for a third of the price,
anyone know if they give a good transition from the top of the drops?

Those Tektros are large, they're pretty chunky and the hoods are long. I have a set knocking about you could have cheap.

The ones Bonor mentions are smaller and neater. Both have about the same amount of drop to the hoods, neither would give you as flat a transition as the SRAMs. The SRAMs don't have return springs though, you'd have to do the ol' biro spring trick or something on the unused lever.
