  • Cheap 400 / Nikon 50mm Series E

  • Gone,
thanks - I should have twigged that it was a long exposure - it really is a masterful shot.

    Steve

  • does anyone know if Portra 400 is still being made?

  • Well kodak are still selling it but I think they stopped making photographic film.

  • A couple of snapshots from last year that I didn't appreciate at the time.

  • Portra 160 / Pentax-M 28/3.5

  • i imagine you leaving the house looking like this

  • portra 160 / pentax-m 28/3.5

..earlier the image you posted with that didn't show up for me, and I was wondering whether you're talking to me or to snoops, or what you're on about..

Well I bring a smaller Canon digital SLR most of the time, and usually one or two analog ones with lenses.
Carrying all the primes for the analog camreas (and changing them every five minutes) really gets on my nerves.

  • it's just you seem to do both digital and analogue quite regularly
i presumed you travelled with camera plural

  • Well if somebody would pay for film, dev, and do all the scanning etc. for me I'd just shoot film.
Because that's not the case I also bring a DSLR, and also because sometimes it's nice to have autofocus & image stabilisation..

  • Agfa Precisa 100 (which I vow to stop using, it is what it is - cheap film) shot on Olympus XA

    You should cross-process it.

  • Nice matresses by the way!

  • You should cross-process it.

    Lol. Maybe!

  • Was of course just joking with the xpro; I know you hate it..

Honestly though, dev / scans of the shots above don't look great.
I shot that film with an XA, too, and things had more "pop" and clarity.

  • That's my house.

  • love this one

  • You should cross-process it.

Once in a blue moon a xpro'd Precisa (for reasons I don't understand) doesn't lose all it's detail and tone and looks great.

  • If I still have any rolls kicking about I'll do it. If you can't beat em. . .

  • Just remember to shoot when it's hot and sunny, and stop down (there is no "beautiful bokeh" with cross processing..) !
