I am looking for a 700c rear for screw on freewheel. Or, maybe better, decent screw on hub, pref. 36h. Anything out there? Need reasonable quality, not beater stuff ....

i think i have 36h campag record hub with campag tub rim for sells if youre interested
-
• #1058
I thinks that a track hub? I need a hub for a screw on block and only a wheel if clincher, thanks though... Have another rummage !
-
• #1059
its not a track hub, just normal screw on.
i also have a campag hub with campag cassette and mavic clincher rim with a tyre, early 90s, barely used but not screw on, if thats of any use.
also have a pair of old normandy high flange hubs, screw on freewheel fit. these can polish up really well.
is this screw on fit needed for a single speed conversion?

its like this;
I have a bike (90s) that has a rear wheel with screw on six speed freewheel. The hub (low flange) needs replacing. Just finding a replacement screw on hub would be the simplest option as I then retain rim and spokes , so cost is kept minimal and the bikes keeps going....
However, an alternative is to replace the entire wheel, retain the freewheel. Its an option but only if there is a wheel lurking around looking for a bike.
Another alternative is that I would be interested in trying to upgrade the whole affair to 7/8 speed (with downtube shifters or otherwise) but this would probably be too costly given that it is not meant to be a project and I have other projects that need spending on.
Now I have discovered Spa cycles do cheap "Zenith" screw on hubs so that might be the new best option but no doubt quality is questionable.
(........Its very tempting to make this a single speed conversion and go out and buy a new "go anywhere" bike) -

i have wheels coming out of my ears at the moment.
pm me your budget for a wheel or a hub and ill see what i have to suit. some i would rather sell as a front/rear pair but have some single wheels

Got some 3ttt Ergopower bars. 42cm. These are the shallower Tour De France bend.
Only used on my track bike for a about half a season so pretty much mint. Some stem removal scratches to the decals. £10?
Not my picture but same bars.
Also got other drop bars, seatposts, road cranks, brakes in my boxes to sort through.
As Lewis said up there ^^^ if there is anything you want give me a shout. I may have it.

I can haz mortgage payments means that due to me sitting on my ass all day instead of working needs me to raise some funds.
I have got a FULL 10 Speed Campagnolo Record Titanium Groupset - Would let it go for £500.
Also, regrettfully - Going to shift my Cinelli Supercorsa, 57cm Square, Cinelli Bar & Stem, C- Record Seatpost, Record 10 Spd. Chainset, Mechs & Chorus 10 Spd. Wheels. Not leaving my house for any less than £1500 though.....

Ah Jack, how are you man?
I should have said, I want these for a 3-ring setup so maybe better not to use a nice Surly SS one. Thanks for the offer tho!
