I think the Nihola would ride better with an actual steering mechanism and lower CoG.

I've got a christiania and have a bit of experience with triking around and my wives experiences. Get the ones with the lowest gears or the one which weighs the least. The top one one you link I believe is stupidly heavy, and even though you're filling it with stuff that extra weight will make a big difference. Especially if you're going anywhere up a slope. My wife finds it very tough getting ours up a hill, the power weight ratio of a smaller person really tells when you're moving a heavy bike. This can be balanced if you have very low gears. I've not tried the nihola, but basically all trikes handle like poo because you can't lean. Road camber is really annoying, as are mini roundabouts which camber outwards and make turning at anything other than a crawl a nightmare. But it is ace to ferry round four kids at a go!

Thanks Harold.
We borrowed the Jonny Loco last weekend and it was OK, though basically not big enough for 4 so it's ruled out.
There aren't many hills round here, just the odd bridge which it coped with fine.
It coped less well with the gales, spinning out easily in top with a tail wind and grinding to a halt in a head wind.
It looks like the Nihola is the one. I just need to learn not to lean in the corners.

sweet bruv, how many gears?
The biggest limiting factor is that it appear the design can only accept a certain bag/box shape.
