  • This thread's just for positive experiences, yeah?

    Only joking ;)

Some really heart-warming reading above. Good work Benjam and thanks for resurrecting it, BN.

  • I have learnt to UTFS and to embed a photo is second nature now.

We all aspire to be such noble forum users :)

  • This happened the other week - Made me very happy:

    So much this. Great read.

  • Brilliant brilliant brilliant.

  • Ha! Love this shit! Great story, so great!

  • i'm a bit late to the game on this, but I lurked on the forum for about 6 months before I decided to join up. Once I did my life changed for the better, it started out by making a group of invisible internet friends then on my occasional visits to london I'd stop by compass beers, making some of them real friends. Eventually I ended up moving to London, thanks in no small part to all my friends from LFGSS, they encouraged me and gave me the confidence to know that when I arrived I'd have all the support I needed. I ended up living with members who i didn't really know in real life, but I knew we'd have a great time and we did!

Anytime I need help, support, advice or anything at all, the forum is the first place I'd go.

Also shout out to XH/Pooface he invited me to his birthday (3 years ago?) having never met me, and from there he's grown to be one of my closest of friends.

    Cheers LFGSS.

  • Awesome^

I remember in the snowy winter of 2009 my sister got stitched up by her boyfriend and was left alone in a freezing London having travelled all the way down from Edinburgh. I was at SE drinks at the time and I told her to come down. There were a few people there (I remember chainbreaker and Jonny) and everyone was super cool to her and cheered her up.
I cracked my hip on the way home trying to show her a 360 degree snow skid.

  • Having been part of the forum for a while I decided to go to HatBeards birthday drinks. I turned up to LMNF and recognised chainbreaker, a hug and an ear tounging later I got to the drinks. Due to Mothergirls landlord being an arse I had nowhere to stay, during the course of the night Tricity offered me a sofa and the chance of a ride to cake. Sadly I wasn't hardcore enough for the ride to cake.

Since this first visit the forum has been good to me and hasn't let me down.

  • People on here are dope.
I get scared meeting strangers, but every time I've met forumengers either from selling/buying or at the few forum events I've been to I manage to feel comfortable and at ease.

I also made the trip to Leeds partly due to TM and Tp88.
Also had a seizure on a failed attempt at riding to Brighton.

Also when Scobles came down to Union Cycle Works I got nervous and didn't introduce myself as he's practically #fixiefamous.

    Good times.
I need to befriend you lot more.

  • I would like to add to this thread: last week I enjoyed a week's snowboarding with 9 other forumgers whom I knew little before. New friends made and I hope more trips to come. Fanks forum! X

  • Toe overlap is no fun :(

    Excellent.

Just re-read it all again and e-mailed Alan to see how he's getting on with looking through his dads racing and frame building archive.

I love the photos he sent of his dad and I cant wait to see what else he discovers.
