So I got these thumb shifter adapter things from Velo Orange to use with my indexed Chorus down-tube shifters. The right one didn't work because the indexed shifter has too large a radius to fit the adapter but the left shifter (friction) is smaller so fit.
It's a bit of a bodge but I've manged to get rid of the down-tube shifters and turn the bike in to a thumbie machine. I think I need to get some proper thumbies and be done with it. Single ring up front will happen once the new cranks arrive.
I also added new headset (Campag Record) and some long drop brakes from Tektro (R359) which are absolutely amazing. Really, really good. I was completely surprised by them.
